Challenge 6
With Challenge 6 we are upping the anti a little and are going back to a time where exposure length was manually controlled. The aim of this challenge is to learn about balancing exposure and to work with lights of differing intensity.
What you will be required to do is to take and egg and light it from the left and the right. On the left you will need to place a candle and on the right a torch. The candle and the torch must be perpendicular to each other and at 90° to the camera with the egg placed in the centre between them.
The aim is to produce a shot where the egg is equally exposed on both sides i.e. a balanced exposure.
- The image you create must be done with a single exposure. Multiple in camera exposures or merging exposures in an image editing programme is not permitted.
- You may only use a single torch and a single candle.
- The closing date for submission will be the 30th June 2010.
- Entries should be submitted to entries@masterthelight.com
- Files must be submitted in jpg format and must not be larger than 800 x 600 pixels at 72ppi.
- You must use your Master of Light ID as the file name and only your master of Light ID. Any files with other names will be ignored.
- Full sizes image must be submitted on request by the Organisers.
Hope you have fun with this challenge and we look forward to receiving your entries.
