Master The Light Webazine

To get us back in the swing of things, we are going to set a really simple challenge. This will be the first of two challenges issued in May.

Aim of the challenge:

To teach you the art of painting with light and hopefully have some fun while you are doing it.

The challenge:

Using a single torch, paint the phrase “Master of Light” in the air.

The challenge rules

In addition to the rules for the whole challenge, the following rules apply to this challenge:

• The image you create must be done with a single exposure. Multiple in camera exposures or merging exposures in an image editing programme is not permitted.
• You may only use a single torch.
• You must physically paint the words using the torch.  Using the torch to project an image or using gobos to create the image is not permitted.
• The closing date for submission will be the 31^st May 2010 The closing date for challenge 5 has been extended to the 19th June 2010
  
• Entries should be submitted to entries@masterthelight.com
• Files must be submitted in jpg format and must not be larger than 800 x 600 pixels at 72ppi.
• Full sizes image must be submitted on request by the Organisers.
